These Date Feta Rolls combine the rich saltiness of feta cheese with the natural sweetness of Large Medjool Dates, all wrapped in crispy spring roll dough. Paired with a sweet and spicy honey sauce, these rolls make for an irresistible appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

For the Date Feta Rolls:

  • Spring roll dough (thawed)
  • 5 Large Medjool Dates
  • 250g feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Dried thyme leaves
  • Salt and black pepper

For the Sauce:

  • 5 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp thyme leaves

Directions

For the Date Feta Rolls:

  1. Chop the Large Medjool Dates into small cubes. In a large bowl, mix together the feta cheese, dates, honey, thyme leaves, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Place a tablespoon of the date and feta mixture on one side of the spring roll dough and begin to roll tightly.
  3. Brush the edges with olive oil and fold them inward to seal.
  4. Brush all the rolls with olive oil and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes or air fry at 180°C for 15 minutes until golden brown.

For the Sauce:

  1. Combine all sauce ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high heat and mix well.
  2. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  3. Serve warm alongside the baked rolls. Enjoy!
