Date Tiramisu Recipe

This Date Tiramisu, made with Linah Farms' Extra Juicy Medjool Dates, is a decadent twist on the classic Italian dessert. With layers of rich, creamy filling, soft coffee-soaked tea biscuits, and a delicious date layer, this version adds natural sweetness and depth of flavor that’s sure to impress. Ingredients:

  • 1 cup freshly brewed coffee
  • Tea Biscuits

For the Date Layer:

  • 500 g Medjool Dates (around 18-20 Medjool Dates)
  • Water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream

For the Cream Layer:

  • 400 g cream cheese
  • 170 g cream
  • 1/2 cup double cream
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. For the date layer, add the dates and water in a saucepan on medium heat. When it boils, mash the dates and cook until the mixture is thick. Add the brown sugar and stir well. Add the cubed butter and mix until well combined and all the butter has melted. Add the cream and cook until the mixture is thick. Set aside to cool.
  2. For the cream layer, mix together the cream cheese, cream, double cream, white sugar, butter, and vanilla.
  3. To assemble, lay the biscuits flat in the dish, packing them tightly together to cover the whole surface. Pour some of the coffee into the biscuits. Top this with the cream mixture and spread evenly. Then add the date mixture and spread. Add another layer of coffee-soaked biscuits and top it with cream. Finally, sprinkle with coffee powder and enjoy!
