This Healthy Halawet El Moled offers a nutritious twist on a traditional Egyptian treat. Made with Extra Juicy Medjool Dates, peanut butter, oats, and almonds, it’s the perfect combination of sweetness and crunch—ideal for a healthier snack.

Ingredients:

  • 12 Extra Juicy Medjool Dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1 cup almonds, chopped
  • 1.25 cups oats
  • 1/3 cup sesame seeds

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Add the Extra Juicy Medjool Dates and peanut butter to a food processor. Blend until it forms a smooth paste. If necessary, add 2-3 tablespoons of water to achieve a smoother consistency.
  3. Transfer the date and peanut butter mixture to a bowl. Add the oats, chopped almonds, and sesame seeds, mixing thoroughly. You can use your hands for easier mixing.
  4. Divide the mixture into 10 equal portions. Press them down into a greased and lined brownie tin.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, then allow to cool before enjoying.
