Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

  3. In a medium bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, and salt together.
  4. In a large bowl, mix together the browned butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
  5. Add the egg and vanilla and mix.
  6. Fold in the flour mixture slowly, a little bit at a time, and mix using a spatula.
  7. Add the dates and walnuts.
  8. Divide the cookie dough into balls, placing them apart on the prepared sheet. Chill cookies for at least an hour to two.
  9. Bake cookies for 10-13 minutes.
